WASHINGTON - Frost Law has added Maryland attorney Jake H. Polivka to serve as the firm’s Director of Estates and Trusts.

Polivka joins Frost to specialize in estate planning and administration after eight years of legal practice, most recently in private practice in Baltimore County.

“As our practice continues to grow, we remain focused on estates and trusts as a core part of our work,” said Glen Frost, the firm’s Founder and Managing Partner. “Jake’s insights and expertise will further bolster our practice in this area, joining a team of talented professionals who help clients understand and navigate the estate planning process.”

Frost Law, headquartered in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, works extensively on estate and trust issues. The Frost team helps people understand the estate process, working to reduce uncertainty, minimize taxes, and avoid complications.

“Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed helping people understand this sensitive and complex area,” Polivka said. “It’s critical to understand the needs of clients and help them explore the options that work best for them and their families.”

Polivka has extensive experience dealing with estates as well as a range of skills including drafting wills, establishing trusts, and guiding clients through the probate process. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law. He’s admitted to practice in Maryland and Washington, DC. The lifelong Baltimore Orioles and Dallas Cowboys fan is also an avid skier who formerly instructed skiers in the Rockies.

He joins other members of the Frost estate team including Kieran Carter, Jess Erler, Lauren Mata, and Laura Thomas.
