On July 1, 2020, Governor Hogan announced $45M in additional funding for the Maryland Small Business Covid-19 Grant Emergency Relief Fund.¹ The Commerce Department further clarified that the funds are only available to businesses who applied for the grant during the enrollment period of March 23, 2020, through April 6, 2020.² Specifically, the Commerce Department will start funding applications received on March 25, 2020, and potentially could fund applications received up to March 30, 2020.³

Significantly, the Commerce Department stated that no new applications will be taken for this second round of funding.⁴ The Commerce Department will evaluate applications it received during the enrollment period, over 20,000 total, in the order those applications were received, and hopes to fund 4500 more businesses in this round of funding.⁵
