Background & History

Sean Rousseau joined Frost Law in 2026 as Counsel, focusing on SBA loan debt relief, particularly the EIDL and PPP programs, along with civil litigation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Roger Williams University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law.

Before joining Frost Law, Sean served as Managing Attorney at a national law firm, where he oversaw and managed high-volume portfolios across the financial, fleet, and automotive sectors. His work there centered on asset recovery, property damage subrogation, and impound lien disputes resolved through civil litigation. Earlier in his career, he practiced at regional law firms representing lenders, banks, and businesses in state and federal courts, overseeing matters from pre-litigation through court proceedings and judgment enforcement.

Having spent years on the creditor side of the table, Sean understands how lenders evaluate and pursue debt, a perspective he now brings to individuals and businesses working through SBA loan obligations. Sean stays actively involved in his community and legal circles and keeps current on changes in laws and regulations that affect his clients. His approach is to give clients clear, direct guidance on their rights and options when facing financial uncertainty, and to help them feel supported during difficult times.

Good summary of the Tax Act of 2025.

When you are having an issue with the IRS, you need professional help to communicate with the right person within the IRS that can help you with your situation. Unfortunately I was not able to find that person and my situation continued to drag on for months. I would communicate by letter and also attempted to use the phone but to no avail. The IRS did not quit working my case and their letters indicated they were getting stronger in demands.

I found Frost Law Firm paid a reasonable retainer, and they were working my case within days. I was very impressed with their contacts within the IRS and how they represented me. Lauren Mata was my attorney and she was very diligent, great at follow up and did everything she said she would do.

My case was settled not long ago, to my benefit as we were able to prove that our position was correct. Whereas I did not have the credibility with the IRS, Frost and Lauren Mata did. I believe I received good value for what I was charged.
