Her academic excellence and determination have led her to pursue a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, expected to be completed in May 2026.

At the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, Ellelyshia participated in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic for two semesters. During her time with the Clinic, she represented taxpayers before the IRS and Maryland Comptroller.
