When a Client has been Around the Block: Failed Offers in Compromise, Bad Bankruptcies, and Previously Poor Service
Frost Law brings decades of proven results to every case we take. We fight for clients who need counsel they can trust.
Tax resolution plans don't always deliver for clients. An IRS Offer in Compromise falls through. A bankruptcy petition gets filed before it should. An Installment Agreement gets approved without accounting for what a taxpayer can realistically pay each month.
When a client arrives having been through an Omill, a bankruptcy filed at the wrong time, or a payment plan that never matched their cash flow, the situation calls for a fresh look. That means reviewing what happened, understanding where the original plan broke down, and building a new approach that fits where the client stands now.
Agenda:
- Develop skills on how to analyze a taxpayer's current financial situation to determine the feasibility of a new resolution plan
- Review how to discuss new compliance habits with clients to help prevent future noncompliance
- Evaluate available resolution options to identify the best fit for clients' circumstances
- Assess the root causes of a failed Offer in Compromise, premature bankruptcy filing, or unaffordable Installment Agreement
- Identify warning signs of Offer mill practices and other red flags that may have contributed to a client's prior unsuccessful resolution
