Job Requirements
  • 3–5 years in software development, automation, or AI/ML work.
  • Working proficiency in Python — you use it regularly and can debug it without much help.
  • Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
  • Experience with automation platforms: Zapier, Make, or n8n.
  • Working knowledge of prompt engineering.
  • Experience with no-code/low-code tools.
  • Clear communicator — you can walk a non-technical person through a complex system without losing them.
  • Experience shipping solutions inside real businesses — places with opinionated stakeholders, legacy processes, and no appetite for disruption.

The title is AI Solutions Engineer, and the work is exactly what it sounds like. About half the time you'll be building: Python scripts, LLM integrations, automations, and tools that solve real problems for our team. The other half, you're working directly with attorneys and staff — figuring out what they need, explaining what AI can do for them, and making sure what gets built actually gets used.

Legal environments don't operate in clean conditions. Workflows are patched together, staff are stretched, and new technology meets skepticism by default. This role requires someone who has navigated that before — someone who designs for the messy middle, not the ideal state on a whiteboard.

Staying current on AI tools is less a job requirement here and more a baseline expectation. We want someone who's already doing it.

What You'll Do:

Building & Technical Work

  • Build and deploy AI-powered tools and automations for internal Frost Law workflows using Python and LLM APIs.
  • Connect systems using Zapier, Make, or n8n to eliminate manual work across firm operations.
  • Develop and refine prompt engineering approaches for legal use cases.
  • Use no-code and low-code platforms where they're the right tool for the job.
  • Maintain and improve internal AI tooling as the firm's needs evolve.
  • Track emerging AI tools and flag the relevant ones to the team on an ongoing basis.

Internal Collaboration & Enablement

  • Work directly with attorneys and staff to assess needs and scope AI solutions.
  • Translate technical capabilities into plain-language recommendations that non-technical team members can act on.
  • Run training sessions and walkthroughs for internal users.
  • Write documentation and reference guides people will actually open.
  • Identify where new AI capabilities apply to existing firm challenges and workflows.

What You Bring:

Our Tech Stack

We don't expect you to know every tool on day one, but we do expect a fast ramp. Familiarity with similar tools in each category counts. Our environment includes:

  • CRM & Marketing: HubSpot.
  • Automation: Zapier, Make.
  • Productivity & Ops: Notion, Google Workspace.
  • Client-Facing Tools: Jotform, Clio, RingCentral, CallRail.
  • AI Platforms: OpenAI API, Anthropic API, Claude.

Preferred

  • Experience working with or inside a law firm.
  • Familiarity with legal tech platforms (Clio or similar).
  • Experience with RAG systems, vector databases, or AI infrastructure.
  • History of taking an internal initiative from initial scope through full deployment.
